I enjoyed the threats that they faced and how it all stemmed from Shamus. It was a good blend of a mafia plot alongside the developing relationship between Maximo and Juliet. I loved her growth and development through this book.

She was tough after everything she’d been through, but she was also innocent and naive. I’m not the biggest fan of the Daddy kink, but holy hell, I’d call him Daddy without a second thought. He was caring, tough, demanding, dangerous, possessive and charming all in one. The story was brilliant and I loved the characters. If this doesn't sound like your kind of fairy tale, this may not be the book for you. This slow burn romance features graphic language, sex, violence, and a Daddy obsessed with his little dove. And heaven help anyone who tried to free me from my gilded cage. In exchange, I gave him what he wanted most. After all, Maximo was more villain than prince.
